Can you fit a new kitchen or bathroom suite?
Yes — we handle the plumbing side: sinks, basins, taps, showers, toilets, waste pipes and connections. We work alongside your fitter or tiler, or on our own if the rest is already done.
My tap drips constantly — is that worth fixing?
Yes. A dripping tap wastes a surprising amount of water over a year and the constant flow gradually damages the seat. It's usually a worn washer or cartridge and a quick fix — far cheaper than the water it wastes.
Why is my shower pressure so weak?
Common causes are a blocked shower head, a partially closed isolation valve, low mains pressure, or a failing shower pump if you have one. Diagnosis is quick and the fix is often inexpensive.
Can you fix a running toilet?
Yes, and it's worth doing promptly — a continuously running toilet can waste hundreds of litres a day. It's normally a worn flush valve or float, and usually repairable without replacing the whole cistern.
Do you fit electric showers?
We handle the plumbing side. The electrical connection must be done by a qualified electrician, and we'll coordinate rather than cut corners on it. If your existing shower is being replaced like-for-like it's often simpler.
What causes a smell from the kitchen sink?
Usually a dry or damaged trap letting drain air back into the room, or a build-up of fat and food debris in the waste pipe. Clearing it and checking the trap seal normally sorts it — if the smell returns quickly, something structural needs looking at.
Can you move plumbing for a kitchen renovation?
Yes — relocating sink waste, supply pipes and appliance connections is routine work for us. Best done before units go in, so involve us early in the planning rather than after the kitchen is fitted.
How do I stop a leak before you arrive?
Find your stopcock — usually under the kitchen sink — and turn it clockwise to shut off the mains. For a leak from the heating rather than the mains, turning the boiler off and closing the radiator valves either side helps limit it.
Do you do small jobs or only full installations?
Both. A single dripping tap is perfectly welcome. If you have several small jobs, group them into one visit — it's more economical than separate call-outs.
Will you clean up afterwards?
Yes. We use dust sheets and shoe covers, and we clear up properly before leaving. Plumbing work shouldn't leave you with a cleaning job.
