How long does a new boiler installation take?
A like-for-like swap in the same position is typically a day. Converting between boiler types — a regular system to a combi, say — takes longer because the tank and cylinder come out and pipework changes.
Is it worth repairing my old boiler or should I replace it?
It depends on the age, the fault and the cost of parts. As a rough guide, once a boiler passes 12–15 years and the repair runs to a meaningful share of a new unit's price, replacing usually makes more financial sense. What size boiler do I need?
