Question 1

How long does a new boiler installation take?

Accepted Answer

A like-for-like swap in the same position is typically a day. Converting between boiler types — a regular system to a combi, say — takes longer because the tank and cylinder come out and pipework changes.

Question 2

What's a boiler repair likely to cost in Bothwell?

Accepted Answer

We don't quote a price before seeing the fault, because guessing helps nobody. Our engineer diagnoses the problem at your Bothwell property first, then gives you a clear, itemised price to approve before any work starts. No call-out surprises and no pressure to proceed.

Question 3

What size boiler do I need?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your property size, number of radiators and how many bathrooms draw hot water at once — not on fitting the biggest available. An oversized boiler cycles inefficiently and costs more to run. We size it properly and explain the reasoning.

Question 4

Do you charge a call-out fee in Bothwell?

Accepted Answer

No separate call-out charge. The price we agree covers travelling to your Bothwell address and doing the work, and it's confirmed on site before anything starts. If you decide not to proceed after diagnosis, we'll tell you exactly where you stand first — no pressure.

Question 5

Combi, system or regular — which is right for my home?

Accepted Answer

Combi suits most flats and smaller homes with decent mains pressure. System boilers with a cylinder handle larger homes and multiple bathrooms better. Regular boilers are usually kept when replacing like-for-like where a loft tank already exists.

Question 6

Which boiler brands do you repair in Bothwell?

Accepted Answer

All the major ones — Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, Glow-worm, Potterton, Viessmann and more, across combi, system and regular boilers. Given the large detached villas and period properties, many with system boilers and multiple bathrooms common in Bothwell, we carry parts for the models we see most often here so a first-visit fix is realistic.

Question 7

Do you remove and dispose of the old boiler?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that's included. We take the old unit away and dispose of it properly — you're not left with it in the garage.

Question 8

Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every gas and boiler job we carry out in Bothwell is done by a Gas Safe registered engineer under registration 930395. You're welcome to check the register yourself, and our engineer will show ID when they arrive.

Question 9

Is a system flush included?

Accepted Answer

We assess whether the system needs one and tell you honestly. Fitting a new boiler onto an old, dirty system is a false economy — debris circulates into the new unit. Be cautious of any quote that's cheaper because it quietly omits this.

Question 10

I'm a landlord in Bothwell — can you do a CP12?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We issue landlord gas safety certificates (CP12) across Bothwell and the rest of South Lanarkshire, with the paperwork provided on the day. Many Bothwell landlords combine it with a full service in the same visit, which works out cheaper than booking twice. We can also set up renewal reminders.
